GT Gunhus visits Lackland AFB
Chaplain (Major General, retired) GT Gunhus is a military liaison for Guideposts magazine. Guideposts offers all their materials free of charge to military chaplains. Ch. Gunhus was in San Antonio from April 15th to the 20th along with Guideposts staff member Dr. Pablo Diaz to visit all three air force bases – Fort Sam Houston, Randolph AFB, and Lackland AFB (where Chaplain, Colonal Mike Heuer is the “Joint Base Installation Chaplain”) – to help inform and coordinate with them on ordering and utilizing resources from Guideposts. Along with his main purpose for being at Lackland AFB, Ch. Gunhus was able to take part in some additional activities, including the Thursday, April 19th, luncheon with some of Ch. Heuer’s staff chaplains. They asked him to share his wisdom about chaplaincy and ministry. Also, there is a Basic Military Training class graduating at Lackland AFB 50 out of 52 weeks a year, so Ch. Heuer invited Ch. Gunhus to be his guest on the reviewing stand at the Basic Military Training Graduation parade on April 20th (see above photograph).
