Lutheran Brethren Seminary is providing a distance education option, starting this fall. This has been the seminary’s vision for several years as they worked through the accreditation process. Once the seminary was accredited, the faculty and staff began work on applying for approval for distance education. In April, LBS was approved for distance education and they have rolled out the distance education option, which will be managed online through Adobe Connect. The following is the opening paragraph on the seminary’s distance education web page.
Distance Education provides educational opportunities for individuals, who are unable to participate in an on-campus program, to acquire the same levels of knowledge, skills, attitudes and character as those students enrolled in on-campus programs. This option is available in all our degree, diploma, and certificate programs.
This is a very beneficial step for LBS. They are looking forward to taking advantage of this option to train and equip future pastors and church leaders across North America since they are no longer limited by a geographical location.
